| | Faster pace than I should have run. Need to run slower and increase my mileage for now, but it felt good. |

11 miles - 1:43:43 Felt really good out there today. Ran about 10 seconds per mile faster than my target pace should have been. Blister was OK until mile 10 and I started feeling it. Laced the shoes up pretty tightly too. I guess it's the new shoes not being broken in that's caused it the other day. Nothing that Band Aid tape can't fix :) Edit: And now it appears I have a blister on top of a blister, apparently from my shoe rubbing my Achilles heel. Painful to flex the foot.

| | Popped my blister yesterday and decided to try a short run in old shoes. Ran 2.7 at an easy pace. Guess I'll have to break in the new shoes for a while before I do another long run. Felt really good to hit the pavement again. | Add Comment |
| | Overall 9:29 pace. Mountain Brook run today. 91% humidity at 6:20 a.m. Ran the Jemison Trail, through the gravel part and up the big hill (mile 2) on Old Leeds Road. Ran this part faster than normal. Stopped for water in Crestline Village and decided to do a small loop onto Dexter, then continue on my normal course. Stopped at mile 7 and finished with a 1 mile cool down. Enough for today considering the blister issue I had from the new shoes last week. Felt really good to get some miles in. | Add Comment |
| | AP 9:49. Solo mid-day run. 97 degrees and HUMID! Ran Veteran's Park at easy pace in the new shoes. Trying to break them in slowly and get my heel callused, as I really love the cushioning on this shoe. Glad to get a few miles in even though the heat right now is oppressive. |
